ECONOMIC RESEARCH AND POLICY MANAGEMENT DIVISION<\/h2>\n

To Reposition the Department through Capacity Building in an Efficient and Effective manner so as to achieve its mandate on Research and Policy Management.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Economics Research and Policy Management Department is made up of four (4) divisions, which is headed by a Director.<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Macroeconomics Division<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    FUNCTIONS<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Undertake a Systematic Analysis of Macroeconomic Trends in Nigeria<\/li>\n
    • Conduct Macroeconomic Research on Topical Issues<\/li>\n
    • Using Econometric Model to Forecast Revenue<\/li>\n
    • Using Econometric Model to Forecast Expenditure<\/li>\n
    • Monitor and Track Macroeconomic Indicators of the Nigerian Economy<\/li>\n
    • Monitor the Implementation of FEC Policy\/Project Decisions that relates to the FMFBNP and its Parastatals\/Agencies<\/li>\n
    • Participate at other National and International fora on Economic Matters<\/li>\n
    • Represent the Department at the FAAC Meetings\/Activities<\/li>\n
    • Monitor and Analyze Developments in relevant Regional\/International Organizations e.g. ECOWAS, UNDP, OPEC<\/li>\n
    • Represents the Ministry at Joint Economic Commission<\/li>\n
    • Generate Data and Information required to evaluate and plan the activities of the Ministry<\/li>\n
    • Interface with other Ministries, Extra-Ministerial Departments, and Agencies in the area of economic research & development, and policy matters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • Provide inputs for economic policy initiatives<\/li>\n
        • Reviewing, Evaluating and Implementing Government Economic Policies<\/li>\n
        • Track Implementation of Economic Policy Initiatives of the Federal Government<\/li>\n
        • Monitoring and Evaluation of Government approved Capital Projects<\/li>\n
        • Serve as Secretariat to top Management meeting of the Ministry and its Parastatals and Agencies<\/li>\n
        • Undertake Research and Analysis of Government Economic Policies<\/li>\n
        • Collaboration with other Ministries on Economic Policy Matters<\/li>\n
        • Serve as Secretariat to Strategic Revenue Growth Initiative.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          • Statistics & Publication Division<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            FUNCTIONS<\/p>\n

              \n
            • Analyzing and Tracking Development issues and investments in the Country<\/li>\n
            • Production of publications like Annual Report of the Ministry<\/li>\n
            • Quarterly Performance Report of the Economy<\/li>\n
            • Coordinate collation of scorecard template (KPIs) for Departments and Parastatals of the Ministry<\/li>\n
            • In conjunction with a representative from ICT, represents the Ministry in open data policy Programme under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Communication Technology<\/li>\n
            • Organization of the Ministry\u2019s \u00a0Sectoral Consultative Committee on Statistics<\/li>\n
            • Representing the Ministry at the meeting of Government Finance Statistics organized by CBN<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                • Acquisition of library books and equipment.<\/li>\n
                • Cataloguing and Classification of books.<\/li>\n

                • Current Awareness Services (CAS)<\/li>\n
                • Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
