WORLD BANK IMPLEMENTATION SUPPORT MISSION BEGINS TO ADVANCE ARMOR REFORMS
The Federal Ministry of Finance, through the Programme Coordination Unit (PCU) of the Accelerating Resource Mobilisation Reforms (ARMOR) Programme-for-Results (PforR), welcomed the World Bank Task Team for the Third Biennial Implementation Support and Review Mission held from 8–17 July 2026.
The mission marked another important milestone in the implementation of the ARMOR Programme, bringing together experts from the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), and the World Bank to review implementation progress, strengthen institutional coordination, and identify practical actions that will accelerate programme delivery.
Throughout the mission, the team undertook a comprehensive review of programme implementation, including procurement, monitoring and evaluation, environmental and social safeguards, communications, annual work plans, legal covenants, and preparations for the Mid-Term Review.
The mission reaffirmed the shared commitment of the Federal Government of Nigeria and the World Bank to delivering measurable reforms that strengthen domestic resource mobilisation, improve public financial management, and support sustainable economic growth.
